[Ronan says it quicker than intended, but at this point, he's a little desperate. He doesn't want to lose his arm or something, but a helicopter ride to somewhere private sounds better than an ER where he'll have to explain the circumstances.]
Call Helen. Now.
[Ronan digs his heels in. Literally. Gansey won't be able to move him to the car.]
[ Gansey stares at him, for the barest fraction of a second. Then he
stops, and his eyes flick to Ronan's arm. They don't have time to argue
about this. It's still bleeding, Gansey can feel that it is, and he can't
have that. It doesn't matter how many favors he has to call in. He nods,
suddenly gentle. ]
Okay.
Okay, sit, then. I'll hold this.
[ And he does. He keeps the bandages in place with one hand, and
pulls out his phone with the other. He calls Helen first, insisting that
it's an emergency and refusing to debate the matter. When he knows the
helicopter is coming, he dials again, and his tone becomes formal and
polite and courteous. There'll be questions from this afterwards, he knows
there will. They'll need a story of some sort, and then Gansey will need to
convince his family of it the next time he sees them. Which will be soon,
if Helen's stipulations for coming are any indication.
But it doesn't matter. He hangs up and looks at Ronan. ]
Done. They don't like it, but they'll help. You still awake? I need you to
stay that way.
