♚ VISUAL: Gansey is tall, with hazel eyes and ruffled brown hair. He has a wealthy background and is said to look like it. He has a straight nose, tanned skin, and decent arm and shoulder muscles due to his recent tenure on the rowing team. He wears either contact lenses, or wireframed glasses (in Hadriel he generally wears glasses, since he can't get fresh lenses). For reference, here is a sketch by the author, and my pb, Justin Livingston.
♚ FASHION: Gansey dresses like it's still cool to be preppy. Depending on the time of year, he either wears collared polo shirts or v-neck sweaters, both in garish colours, and shorts or combat pants. He also wears Topsiders with no socks, because boatshoes are cool. When more formal clothes are needed he'll wear properly tailored suits. His clothes tend to be expensive. He also wears a notably large watch, which also looks expensive. Creating a good impression is important to him; his clothes will invariably be neat, clean and tidy.
♚ DEMEANOUR: Gansey is very aware of how he presents himself. His movements are very deliberate; his handshakes are firm, and he strides rather than walks. He always gives the appearance of confidence, even when he's not. He's also exceptionally good at hiding how he feels; his face is a mask of wealthy surety, and you won't see beneath it to the 'real' Gansey until he starts to trust you. His attitude is outwardly hopeful and optimistic, and inwardly anxious and lonely. He is polite, but assertive, and he likes to feel in command of a situation.
♚ AURAL: Gansey typically speaks English. His accent is described as 'Old Virginia money', which essentially means an American accent with a slightly southern twang. When asked, the author gave these examples for how he talks (Source). On top of English, he also speaks some Latin and French.
♚ OLFACTORY: He is said to smell like mint and wheatgrass - the mint because he's forever chewing mint leaves, and the wheatgrass because he's forever wandering around in fields searching for sleeping kings.
♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Gansey is said to be 'very loud' to psychics, and the ones who deal with him in canon have a hard time reading him because of this. That said, he has no psychic shielding. Your character can read his mind if they would like; if you let me know, I'll include extra info/surface thoughts that they can pick up on.
♚ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Gansey is, more or less, a normal human. However, due to [ canon spoilers ], he has also been marked by magic. As a result, his mind sometimes 'slips through time', meaning that he has the sense of experiencing the past, the present and the future all at once. The feeling is temporary, but happens with some regularity. Characters with the ability to sense magic are free to pick up that there's something strange about him. He is also a chronic insomniac, and he has a deathly allergy to both wasp and bee stings. He carries an Epi-Pen with him most of the time to counteract this.
♚ TRIGGERS: Gansey suffers from anxiety due to a traumatic event in his past. As a result he suffers from chronic insomnia and has a tendency towards panic attacks, which were much worse when he was younger and which he works hard to control. His anxiety will be triggered by buzzing insects, tunnels and caves, wide empty spaces, darkness, and heat - and a panic attack is more likely if he's experiencing more than one of these things at once. The main thing he fears is death, which also means he has an aversion to killing and even to hurting others - though, he'll defend himself if he's attacked.
♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Gansey isn't exactly tactile - he's more handshake than brohug. He's good at adapting his actions to match what others are comfortable with, though, so provided you aren't someone he dislikes, you can hug him and he'll hug you back. If he dislikes you, he'll find a way to politely withdraw.
♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Go ahead, if you'd like! Gansey is not a fighter and he's more likely to break his bones on you than actually hurt you. If it's anything more serious than a broken bone, please ask first,
♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Gansey is that guy who wants everyone to like him. He will be polite and friendly by default unless he has a reason to dislike you. When it comes to shipping, he holds a massive burning torch for one Blue Sargent. That said, I'm open to playing other ships in memes etc, so if there's something you'd like to try please ask! If I'm into it, we can probably play it.

♚ FOURTHWALLING: Go ahead, I don't mind. Gansey's reaction may not be great, depending on what it is, but I have no problem with it.
♚ TRIGGERS: Please warn me first if you're going to talk about either excessive gore/body horror/torture, or animal cruelty. Other than that, I'm cool with most things.
